This is mainly a blog of acknowledgments and last words to those who in any way deserve it. It is by all means not a complete list, nor am I trying to make it look that way. I limit myself to those who have been the most important to me the last 5 months. This is also the reason why this all is in English.
In random order:
Eike, thank you so so so much for all that you have done for us. Teaching, guiding, mentoring, but also amusing us with your always witty jokes. You have an almost unbelievable skill for telling stories or giving lectures in a way that I both learnt a lot and had the most fun while doing that. I bow to you humbly and take off my hat for you. Besides all the storytelling you are also one outstanding scientist, who takes village-science to a whole new level. Be proud of what you accomplish! Our paths will definitely cross in the future, and I will greet you as friend and family.
Stefan, where shall I start? In 5 months’ time you have trained me from a novice level to a professional. But you are so much more than an instructor. First of all I need, need to mention your humor. You can brighten up even the grumpiest with a single joke (we all know I should write innuendo, but hey, I keep it polite). Besides that you are so practical and smart, and know so much about so many different subjects. I would love to go under water once (or more often) more. Thanks for everything, we had a blast.
Janina, where would CoreSea be without you! Sweet, caring, loving, yet sometimes (and very rightly so) strict when you need to. It’s not always easy, but you manage to pull it off nonetheless. Together with Eike you form a great team. You are the foundation on which CoreSea can build. Thank you for everything!
Alex, what a wonderful person you are. We both climbed the ladder of PADI-professionalism, even though you are higher up there. But I will never forget the times we practiced our skill circuit. I had so much fun! Besides that you are also awesome to just chat with, have some fun, and enjoy a good whisky. For now I would like to say I am really really happy to have met you, and Ami as well! Wir treffen uns in Berlin!
These 5 people have formed me so much during these 5 months, all in a good way. To all there are no words to describe my gratitude. I could not have dreamt all of this.
And on some more lighter notes: Lina! You’ve livened up the place so much with your enthusiasm, excitement and openness. It was a big step for you to come to Thailand by yourself, but I think you are going to rock! Please make sure to come by Holland this summer, great fun awaits!
Jamie! You’ve brought me so much fun and adrenaline! Having a beer, some random leftover bbq-meat. And of course you and Roberta as an invincible team (still sorry about your boots though). You’ve made me totally hooked on wake boarding, and gave me some awesome advice on the way. Until next time! Maybe one day I finally get a ride on your red boat too ;). See ya mate, send me a message if you ever come near Holland!
Then finally, I would also like to thank Roy. It is maybe not easy spending 5 months straight with someone, especially if it is just the two of us in times. I think our friendship has grown a lot over the past time, we both got to know each other much better. It is awesome to have you as a friend, and I hope it is for a long time! It has been an awesome ride, my friend.
Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art... It has no survival value; rather it is one of those things that give value to survival. C.S. Lewis

Ami:
It was great getting to know you(p), dive together ('my' DM:-), talk and lough, enjoy food and drink. We'll meet here or there and hopefully get down there again to take part in Core Sea's important mission.
